Yo! So today I have 2 recipes to share with you guys. Very simple recipes. 1st one would be siput sedut goreng kicap. I am cooking this as my friend who is a breast cancer patient who is going for an operation this Thursday requested for it.
She's like my mum, my bestfriend, my everything at work. It saddens me to see her in pain. So I told her she can name anything in the world she wants to eat and I will cook for her. So here goes!
Well to prepare the siput sedut you have to cut its ends using pliers. This was, however, done by my dad. Haha. Oops.
Ingredients:
1kg Siput Sedut (with ends cut)
1 medium sized onion, diced
2 cloves of garlic
8 tablespoons of blended chilli
1 teaspoon chicken stock
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoons dark soya sauce
1 tablespoon sweet dark soya sauce
1 tablespoon sweet soya sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon tomato sauce
2 tablespoons sesame oil
1 chilli padi finely chopped
Ground black pepper (up to your preference how much you want)
Corriander finely chopped
1 medium sized onion, diced
2 cloves of garlic
8 tablespoons of blended chilli
1 teaspoon chicken stock
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoons dark soya sauce
1 tablespoon sweet dark soya sauce
1 tablespoon sweet soya sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon tomato sauce
2 tablespoons sesame oil
1 chilli padi finely chopped
Ground black pepper (up to your preference how much you want)
Corriander finely chopped
Instructions:
Firstly you must sauté your onion, garlic and blended chilli with some oil in a big wok. Once you see the oil separated from the chilli, you add in all the sauces mentioned at once. Yeah just put them all in no chronological order. Then add in sugar and chicken stock.
Then you add in your siput sedut, and stir well, making sure that every siput sedut is covered in sauce. Then add in the finely chopped corriander, black pepper and chilli padi. Stir it up again. Cover the wok with a lid for about 6 minutes to make sure that everything is well cooked. Turn off the heat and you are good to go!
Easy right? But my teacher chef was so fierce (my dad) and so strict one hahaha. Oh wells! Happy trying! :D
